And he drove like a maniac, cutting the lane, trying to overtake a slow moving vehicle and coming right in my eyes, smiling, stylish ….. ready for a head-on collision. I slowed my bike or else he would have crashed into me. Happily he overtook the vehicle and was ready for the next one.
And what if I had not applied brakes, what if I revved the engine instead, making him realize, “Dude, I ain’t going anywhere”, you entered my lane and you need to get out”. Grrrrrrr...
In that case, either we both would be injured or …. He would have slowed down and dropped the idea of overtaking. Moral victory for me, may be. But I decided not to give him a chance so easy, he wants it, he earns it.
The biker when whizzed past me, would have basked in the glory of an achievement that he pulled off an impressive ..... impossible overtake. But little did he know it wasn’t earned, but gifted. Had I not slowed down, he could have never made it.
And say “ Go Live “ ……
To all them who slowed down and let me overtake and make me sing, “I earned that, YEAH” -- Thanks
To all them whom I let have their overtakes, which they thought they earned …..

Just a lovely post... 'Go live' will continue echoing in my head as long as I live; all those times I have said 'Go live' and will continue to say it and all those times others, unknown to me, have let me 'go live'... Lovely!
wonderful post! *applauds*
just a few lines and yet says soo mucn...:)
we often tend to take credit for things we think we've earned..and then we tend to gloat about it...
but in the real sense, maybe the victory isnt really ours...
