What is life?
Irrespective of what Douglas Adams says or the Vedas, I guess every single person on this planet would answer differently to the question. I, obviously have my own version.
Life is such a short word for something this long. Simply put, life is too long to be told in one sentence or paragraph, it sometimes is foretold or is seen over generations.
I have seen life for 26 years now, the more lives I get associated with, the more I learn about the “short” word.
Life is congruent to the universe, in size, shape and behavior. The more your learn it, more it opens its vastness.
Off lately I have been grabbed by the habit of saying “This is life” every time I have seen or felt something which I never felt before in past years.
Best way to answer the question matches Douglas Adams way too. He came up with the answer 42 as the first thing that came to his mind. I, however believe, the answer isn’t verbal.
Life is moments, that make you feel more than Just Another Human. More special than anyone on this planet and more peace than the dead sea.
Sprinting 2 kms makes me feel that adrelin and the pump in nerves, the body feels fresh and I want to run faster and longer. “This is life” I say, feeling that pump again.
Having to drive at 100, swerving between the vehicles, imagining they are all stationary road barriers, gives you that pump and makes me say…..WHOA … This is life.
Spending a weekend sleeping late, watching a cricket match, eating French fries and coffee………mmmmmmm…This is life..
Having lifted weights, flexed the veins …… precipitated and then a hot sprinkle on the face……. .. Steamy…..but This is life….
But I always had these moments, always since my childhood. So what’s made the habit more frequent.
Having to see her antics all around the house, like Alice in Disneyland
Having to pick the pillows every morning she throws in her sleep, :)
Having to click her when she sleeps like a cross bow, ( I have a huge collection now )
Having to kiss her good night each night and kiss her good morning ...next morning
Having to watch her prepare food so sincerely, so that I enjoy it eating, ( She does cooks well )
Having to kiss her forehead and say I love you embracing on the couch while watching Television,
Having to clean the entire house looking worse than a domestic help and enjoying every bit of it,
Having tasted the cloud while I held her hands and drops dripping on the nosetip….. (other proof that clouds to have water).
Having to be in a state that I have all five senses feeling the same thing at the same time and no interference in life
Having to be in love with some one so much that mere presence would make me say aloud.
……………….. THIS is LIFE …………….
